In the event of loss or damage to property you must, you must:

  • Retain all damaged items
  • Photographic evidence to prove the loss/damage
  • Inform the Police immediately if the loss involves lost, stolen or maliciously damaged property
  • Provide us with any third party details which could have been involved in the loss/damage you suffered
  • Forward us copies of unanswered legal correspondence served in connection with any claim for which you might be held legally liable
  • Avoid discussion, admittance, repudiation or negotiation of any claim with the written permission of the insurer/broker
  • Act as if you are uninsured and do your best to minimize the loss as much as possible

Your claim would then need to be quantified with substantiating repairs and/or replacement quotations. Upon receipt, insurers might at their own discretion decide to appoint a loss adjustor to assist in the handing of your claim. Once satisfied with the claim presented, insurers will issue a claims settlement offer where our claims department will make sure that the settlement being offered reflects a fair and reasonable settlement of your claim.

Once a settlement agreement has been reached, we will assist with the collection of the claims payment and will make it our priority that the Insurance Company resolves your claim efficiently and fairly.
